APPS FOR iOS & ANDROID

BLUETOOTH DONGLE REQUIRED

The Android and iOS apps are only for owners of GoBlue (optional Bluetooth and infrared dongle) or GO2 (optional Bluetooth-to-RS232 dongle). The Vertex has no Bluetooth of its own: the dongle is the link between your phone or tablet and the Vertex. Both dongles work with the HDfury Vertex.

DONGLE / BLUETOOTH + IR

GOBLUE + 4K VERTEX TOTAL CONTROL

GoBlue works with the HDfury Vertex. Connect GoBlue between the USB power source (wall plug or device port) and the Vertex, install the 4K Vertex Total Control app and open it. The app connects by itself: do not pair the Vertex in the Bluetooth menu of your phone.

  • Switch inputs and matrix/splitter mode, and set EDID, HDCP, scaling, HDR/AVI/VSI, OSD and CEC.
  • Read signal information and the GUI, firmware and GoBlue versions.
  • Works with or without a video signal, with a range of over 10 m.
  • On Android you can build your own menu with custom commands (XML).

DONGLE / BLUETOOTH → RS232

GO2 + GO232 APP

GO2 also works with the HDfury Vertex. It plugs into the RS232 jack of the Vertex and takes its power from any USB port (wall plug or device port). You then control the Vertex from your phone or tablet with the Go232 app. In our shop GO2 is listed as HDfury Go32.

  • Bluetooth to RS232: the app sends its commands through the RS232 port of the Vertex.
  • Extended Bluetooth range.
  • Firmware updates for GO2 over the air, through the latest app.

HOW TO UPGRADE

A cleaned-up version of the original Vertex update instructions, kept here with the firmware archive.

01

Install the Silicon Labs driver

If the required Silicon Labs USB driver is not installed on the Windows computer, install it first.

02

Connect Vertex by USB

Connect the Vertex to the computer via USB, then run the MCU & FPGA update package for the selected release.

03

Power-cycle after FPGA update

After the FPGA update, power-cycle Vertex and wait roughly 15 seconds. When the OLED returns, the unit is ready.

04

Verify the version

For the latest archived release, the GUI or OLED should report 1.38.1.45.

LOCK ICON RECOVERY

If an older firmware leaves a lock icon at the top-right of the OLED, hold RST and press INP twice. Vertex will prompt for a power cycle. After restart, the lock should be gone.

WINDOWS GUI / DISPLAY SCALING

GUI looks too small or incorrectly scaled?

Close the GUI. Right-click the GUI executable → Properties → Compatibility → enable Override high DPI scaling behavior. Under Scaling performed by, choose System (Enhanced), then restart the GUI.
