SIGNAL INFO
Vertex exposes useful information about the HDMI signal so you can see what is entering and leaving the device instead of troubleshooting blind.
Signal info is the list of facts about a video signal: its size, speed, colour format, HDR and copy protection.
Normally HDMI hides this from you.
The Vertex shows it on its own little screen and on your TV, so you know what your player is really sending.
Does the HDfury Vertex show what signal my player sends?
YESYes. It shows resolution, frame rate, chroma, colour, bit depth, HDR, TMDS clock and HDCP for the input and both outputs: on its front OLED, as an OSD on your screen and in the Windows USB GUI.
How to use it with the Vertex:
- Short-press INFO/OLED to cycle through the OLED pages (p.9).
- Read a line like '4K59.94 422 BT2020 12b HDR 594MHz 2.2' on the Info page (p.19).
- To see it on your TV, enable the OSD and choose fields under OSD INFO in the GUI (p.37).
- The GUI top section shows RX0, RX1, TX0 and TX1; RS232 #get status rx0 does the same (p.27, p.48).
What does this mean in a real AV system?
When a picture, HDR mode or audio format is not behaving as expected, signal information helps identify what the source is actually sending and what the HDMI chain is reporting.

Where does the Vertex show signal info?
On the front OLED pages (p.19, p.42), in the OSD on your screen (p.37) and in the top section of the Windows GUI (p.27).
How do I read a line like '4K59.94 422 BT2020 12b HDR 594MHz 2.2'?
It is resolution and frame rate, chroma, colorimetry, bit depth, HDR flag, TMDS clock and HDCP version (p.19).
Why does it show 59.933 Hz instead of 59.94?
The Vertex shows the real measured clock, so small differences are normal (p.113).
