OLED Info Pages
The five status pages on the Vertex front OLED, and how to cycle, dim or rotate them.
The Vertex has a small screen on its front that shows what is going on with the signal.
It has five pages, for example the incoming signal, the HDR details and the InfoFrames.
You can check your setup there without opening a menu on the TV or a PC.
How do I use the OLED info pages on the HDfury Vertex?
HOW IT WORKSThe small OLED screen on the front has five pages: Info, RX Info, HDR 1, HDR 2 and IF info. They show what comes in and goes out, so you can check your setup without a TV menu or a PC.
How to use it with the Vertex:
- Short-press INFO/OLED to go to the next page or wake the screen (p.9).
- Long-press INFO/OLED (over 2 s) to cycle the lights: OLED + side logo + OSD, OLED + OSD, OLED alone, OSD alone, none (p.9).
- In the GUI CONFIG page, set START UP MENU PAGE, and OLED FADE 0 to keep the OLED always on (p.41–42).
- Remote: RS232 #set oledpage (p.50) or IR codes vertex_oledpage1 to vertex_oledpage5 (p.80–81).
What it is
The Vertex has a small OLED screen on the unit itself. It shows what signals come in and go out, so you can check a setup without a TV menu or a PC.
An OLED info page is one screen of that status. You switch pages with the INFO/OLED button or remotely.
On the Vertex
The OLED turns on as soon as power is applied. OLED off means insufficient power or the OLED is switched off; OLED on plus the green side logo means the Vertex is receiving and decoding an HDMI signal (p.6).
A short press on the INFO/OLED button cycles through the info pages or wakes the OLED from sleep/fade. A long press (over 2 seconds) cycles the lights: OLED + side logo + OSD (default) > OLED + OSD > OLED alone > OSD alone > None (p.9).
There are five pages: Page 1 Info (default), Page 2 RX Info, Page 3 HDR 1, Page 4 HDR 2, Page 5 IF info. START UP MENU PAGE sets which one appears first (p.42). The CONFIG page also has OLED DISPLAY on/off, ROTATE 180 DEG, REVERSE COLORS and OLED FADE in seconds, where 0 keeps the OLED always on (p.41).
Over RS232: #set oled, #set oledrotate, #set oledreverse, #set oledfadevalue and #set oledpage (p.50). The OLED is 3.12″ diagonal, 256×64, 32 green colors (p.111).
Common questions
How do I switch OLED pages?
Short-press the INFO/OLED button to go to the next page or wake the screen (p.9). The CONFIG page sets which page appears at start-up (p.42).
The OLED is dark. Is my Vertex broken?
Not necessarily. OLED off means not enough power or the OLED is switched off; use the Vertex power supply and check the OLED setting (p.6). OLED FADE set to 0 keeps it always on (p.41).
Why does the OLED show RGB 8-bit while I play Dolby Vision?
That is normal: TV-led Dolby Vision travels inside an RGB 8-bit container (p.113).
