One source. One display.
Disconnect the second display and unnecessary AVR/switch stages. Start Source → Vertex → Display. Add the rest only after this path is stable.
Before changing Apple TV, Dune, JVC, Epson or a television, put the original Vertex in a simple, known-good state. This prevents an EDID, scaling, HDCP or routing change from being mistaken for a source or display problem.
Disconnect the second display and unnecessary AVR/switch stages. Start Source → Vertex → Display. Add the rest only after this path is stable.
Use a conservative resolution if necessary. Confirm stable video before enabling HDR, Dolby Vision, scaling or custom EDID.
Enable the display's Enhanced / Expanded / Input Signal Plus / equivalent full-bandwidth HDMI mode. Then establish a normal HDR10 signal.
Check the actual input and output resolution, refresh rate, color format, bit depth, HDR/DV state and HDCP state before changing picture controls.
Choose the EDID mode deliberately in the EDID MANAGER tab: AUTOMIX, CUSTOM (per PORT 0 / PORT 1), COPY TOP SINK, COPY BOT SINK or FIXED EDID. Save a known-good configuration (GUI → Config → EXPORT; restore with Config → IMPORT) before loading an LLDV custom EDID.
Only after HDR10 works: advertise the intended LLDV capability, re-handshake/reboot the source if required, verify the actual signal at Vertex, then configure the projector HDR presentation.
Add the AVR/soundbar after video is proven. If capability disappears, determine whether that device is changing EDID, HDCP or bandwidth.
Add the second output and scaling/EDID requirements last. A mixed 4K + 1080p system should not be debugged as a single-display problem.
