EDID AutoMix Flags

Selectable/forceable capabilities include stereo, 5.1, 7.1, Native, BT.2020/xvYCC, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, 3D removal and YCbCr removal.

SIMPLY PUT

Automix flags are check boxes that change what the Automix EDID tells the source.

It is like adding a note to a shopping list: "always buy milk" or "never buy nuts", no matter what the two lists said.

For example you can force 7.1 sound, add HDR10+ or HLG, or remove Dolby Vision.

Which Automix EDID flags can I force on the HDfury Vertex?

YESAudio (2.0, 5.1, 7.1 Full, Native, TOP MAX), video (BT2020/xvYCC, HDR10+, HLG), Dolby Vision (Force, Remove, Limit 300MHz), and removal of 3D or YCbCr. Only force what your devices can really handle.

How to use it with the Vertex:

Set the EDID mode to Automix (p.8).
USB GUI > EDID MANAGER: tick or untick the flags (p.28).
RS232: #set edidaudio stereo/51/71/native/top, edidbt2020, edidhdr10, edidhlg, ediddv, edidyuvremove, edid3dremove (p.50-51).
IR: for example vertex_edidhlgon or vertex_ediddvon (p.76).

Should I tick every flag to get the most features?

No. Only force a feature if the device that will receive it can really handle it; otherwise you can lose picture or sound.

Which flag keeps Dolby Vision when my AVR does not support it?
