HDMI Routing
2 inputs / 2 outputs; matrix, splitter and switcher workflows.
Routing means choosing which input goes to which output.
The Vertex has two inputs and two outputs, so you can send one player to both screens, or each player to its own screen.
It works like points on a railway track that decide where each train goes.
Can the HDfury Vertex send two sources to two screens?
YESYes. The Vertex is a 2×2 device: in Splitter mode one input goes to both outputs, in Matrix mode each output can show a different input. A long press on INP (over 2 s) switches Matrix mode on or off (p.10).
How to use it with the Vertex:
- Short-press INP to switch the active input (Splitter) or swap the signals (Matrix) (p.10).
- Long-press INP over 2 s to enter or leave Matrix mode (p.10).
- In the GUI use Active Input (p.27); RS232: #set input top/bot/thru/swap (p.48).
- IR: vertex_inputsel1–4, where inputsel3 is matrix thru and inputsel4 is matrix swap (p.78).
What is it?
How signals move through Vertex.
Why would you use it?
Source A can go to both outputs, or different sources can be routed to each output.

Do not confuse this with…
Routing and scaling are separate functions.
Common questions
Can two different sources play on two different screens at the same time?
Yes, in Matrix mode each output can show a different input. A long press on INP (over 2 seconds) switches Matrix mode on or off (p.10).
Does routing change the picture quality?
No. Routing only decides where a signal goes; scaling and conversion are separate settings.
Can both outputs show the same source?
Yes, that is Splitter mode: one input goes to both outputs, and a short press on INP switches which input is active (p.10).
